Is it possible to judge about the weather by the sunset?

Can you predict weather just looking at the sunset? Yes, it is possible to tell what the weather will be like: the fact that we see a sunset indicates clear weather. In addition, the color of the sky and the shape and size of the sun's disk tell us something about the weather. The light golden color of the evening dawn with a cloudless sky is a sign of the calm state of the atmosphere, clean dry air and the preservation of good weather.
The red dusk occurs when the air humidity is high and it's less stable, therefore, the probability of changes in the weather increases - the appearance of clouds, increased wind is possible, but it will not necessarily be sharp deterioration. Due to the apparent flattening of the celestial sphere, the solar disk at the horizon appears to be several times larger than when the sun is at its zenith.
In humid warm air, the sun disc becomes slightly elongated along the horizon, acquiring the shape of an oval, and turns bright red; in cold dry air, the sun turns pale, its shape remains round, but its dimensions become smaller (all this is due to the unequal refraction of the rays of different parts of the solar spectrum, differing in different wavelengths).
If the sun sets behind the clouds that have appeared on the horizon, this is a sign that the probability of a change in the weather associated with the arrival of these same clouds is obvious; hence the widely known sign of worsening weather: "the sun setting behind a cloud brings rain"; however, the categorical nature of this feature is somewhat doubtful.
