Signs Of Heart Problems You Didn’t Know About.

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death among women and men all over the world, representing about 30% of all global deaths.
What are the main symptoms of heart disease? What are the signs of unhealthy heart? What does a heart blockage feel like? What are the possible heart symptoms you shouldn’t ignore? What are the warning signs of heart attack? These and many other similar questions are asked very often by people all over the world. A lot of heart and circulatory diseases can be treated or avoided thanks to healthy lifestyle. But if there is a reason to worry about your heart, it is better to find it out as soon as possible.
- The majority of us are well acquainted with the main symptoms of heart problems. Among the heart disease symptoms that are caused by heart arrhythmias, heart vessels problems, heart defects or heart infection one can mention the following:
- swelling of ankles, feet and legs;
- shortness of breath, weakness;
- changes in heart rhythm;
- pale or bluish skin;
- dizziness;
- chest pains;
- pain in the neck, back or jaw;
- chest tightness;
- fainting;
- getting tired very easily;
- persistent cough.
But there are a number of other symptoms that are rarely known by people that may indicate having some heart disease. Here are the signs of possible heart problems you were not aware about.
Snore
Snoring or obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with the development of cardiovascular disease, as well as several other diseases.
A new study from Detroit's Henry Ford Hospital found that people who snore regularly have a much higher risk of carotid artery problems. This risk is greater in overweight people and smokers. When the blood vessels supplying the brain with oxygen-rich blood constrict, it is usually the first step towards developing atherosclerosis, the researchers explained. Atherosclerosis causes a number of vascular diseases.
The left and right common carotid arteries deliver oxygen-rich blood to the head and neck, where they divide to form the external and internal carotid arteries. Researchers have found that snoring, including snoring without sleep apnea, affects the carotid artery. They believe that the changes are most likely caused by damage and subsequent inflammation, due to the vibration that snoring causes.
Study lead author Robert Deeb says: “Snoring is more than annoying during sleep and cannot be ignored. Patients should be treated in the same way as if they had sleep apnea, high blood pressure, or other risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Our research adds to the growing number of evidence that snoring may not be as harmless as it was previously thought. Instead of nudging your snoring partner or pushing him out of bed, seek treatment for him.”

Yellow-orange skin rash
High triglyceride levels cause damage to the skin, especially around the interphalangeal joints (knuckles) of the fingers and toes and the soles of the feet. Elevated triglyceride levels are one of the leading causes of atherosclerosis, which is the underlying cause of many cardiovascular diseases.
Loose grip
Decreased ability to hold something with your hands, squeeze, hang on a horizontal bar can also be among heart problems signs. Studies have shown a link between grip strength and the risk of cardiovascular disease: the harder a person can clench their fist, the lower the risk of heart and vascular problems. While the feeling that it is harder to clench a fist or hold an object can be a clue that it is time to get a checkup with a cardiologist. There is still no evidence that developing hand and forearm muscle strength can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Dark spots under the nails
If the appearance of small hematomas (bruises) under the nails of the hands and feet is not associated with trauma, they are most likely a sign of heart disease associated with an infectious lesion of its inner layer (endocarditis). This phenomenon is also common in patients with diabetes, which in turn is one of the most common causes of heart problems.
Dizziness, lightheadedness
This nonspecific symptom may be a direct consequence of insufficient blood supply to the brain, the most common causes being heart failure and cardiac rhythm changes (arrhythmias).
Sexual problems
65% of men who have been diagnosed with ischemia have had erectile problems for several years. This is also associated with deterioration in blood supply due to vascular pathologies. Cardiovascular disease can also be a cause of decreased sex drive and sexual satisfaction in women.
Changes in skin color
Pallor, cyanosis, marbling of the skin, more often of arms and legs, sometimes minor hemorrhages are signs of insufficient blood supply.
Bleeding gums
Inflammation and bleeding of the gums can also be associated with heart disease: with vascular and heart disease, blood supply deteriorates and small arteries begin to suffer in the first place. There is also a theory that with periodontitis and gingivitis, bacteria can enter the bloodstream and cause damage to the inner wall of the vessels.
It has been found that diseases that lead to tooth loss significantly increase the risk of cardiovascular accidents.

Lack of air
Even mild shortness of breath should be a cause for alarm: this symptom accompanies heart disease in 90% of cases. And it is meant that this breath shortness appears without physical exertion, in a supine position. A few days before an attack, it often becomes more comfortable for a person to sleep in sitting position.
Edema
Edema develops in various diseases, physiological conditions, such as pregnancy, while taking certain medications, but their appearance is always a reason for seeking medical attention.
If the heart is not working at full strength, the blood does not have time to remove all the fluid, edema occurs.
A characteristic feature of edema triggered by heart failure is that they are symmetrical, that is, they appear on both ankles and/or calves at the same time, at the initial stages in the evening. A fossa that appears in the place where we press with a finger, shoe marks, marks from rings are the confirmation of the presence of edema.
Persistent weakness, increased fatigue
Fatigue is a nonspecific symptom that can be associated with increased exertion, stress, a wide range of diseases from anemia to cancer. Persistent, increased fatigue is also a distinctive sign of heart failure.
